Greens Fork is a town in Clay Township and it is seated in Wayne County, Indiana, United States. Its original name was actually Washington, in honor of George Washington but in 1968 the town’s name was formally changed into Green’s Fork because of the Greens Fork River. Both the town and river name came from a Delaware Indian named Johnny Green.
