The town of Griffin was named after Samuel Griffin and was incorporated in the year 1881. It is a town in Bethel Township and is seated in Posey County, Indiana, United States. On March 18, 1925, the town was nearly destroyed by the Tri-State Tornado. Griffin was the host of the Erie Canal Soda Pop Festival that caused a stir in the town in 1972. As of 2010, this town has the census of 172 people.
